VISION…
Creativity and “Making” are both powerful paths to wellness and an expression of our shared collective humanity. The mental health crisis that has followed the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our communities. We are witnessing staffing shortages and complete sense of overwhelm and exhaustion. The US Surgeon General has issued warnings addressing health crisis that are impacting youth as well as the loneliness epidemic among adults. We all hear the phrase “put your own oxygen mask on first,” and it is now time to implement the actions necessary to “walk our talk” and address the collective trauma that is playing out in our communities. Arts enhanced, mindful, and restorative practices are not “One More Thing...they are THE THING.”
Creative and Compassionate approaches meet people where they are and thoughtfully guide them to fully embody how we as humans can truly connect and care for ourselves and others. Participants in our workshops learn arts-based strategies that they can use with their leadership teams, staff, students, families, clients, and communities. These simple and sweet strategies include human-centered exercises, grounded in drama games, mindfulness, and restorative circles and build healthy, resilient, and vibrant humans.
